The AFTA Shabbat service this year will be on Zoom on Friday, June 6 (one week after the online AFTA conference) at 6pm Eastern time. The service is open to all regardless of faith. It is a space cultivated at AFTA for years, a space of healing and connection. In addition to the Shabbat service itself (printouts of the service in Hebrew with transliteration and English will be available), we include poetry and a space to reflect. Those in mourning are invited to speak briefly about their loss; those in need of healing or praying for people in need of healing are invited to share. These are painful times in our world, and the AFTA Shabbat space has always been welcoming and open, a place of reflection and connection.
